The IaaS Framework provides a soft standard to resources. By using the IaaS framework, your middleware will be compatible with Inocybe Technologies products. Furthermore, the services offered by broker sites (e.g. V-Infrastructures are only available for middleware resources built upon the IaaS Framework.
Yes, we distribute the framework under the Apache Software Licenses (ASL) to allow other third party middleware solutions to be created. We, however, encourage companies developing their middleware solutions to partner with Inocybe Technologies and contribute to the framework. We also appreciated people building IaaS Framework based products to put the Powered by IaaS Framework in their products to let their users know that they can use other tools with their middleware solution.
We would love too! In fact, Inocybe Technologies is a company that is working closely with i2CAT Foundation and the Canadian Communications Research Center to create the different products or to do more research projects. Therefore is it possible to join us or our partners when working in these research projects.

Installation of the IaaS Framework is basically a Globus Toolkit installation customized to provide a bunch of functionalities for the resources and allow these resources to be exchanged in a uniform way. Please carefully follow the installation guide.
